Welcome to the Best of Biology Online. Use this website as a resource to help you learn, prepare for and enjoy your pursuit of biological knowledge. Thie page is divided into units as assigned by the DeKalb County School System Pacing Guide. Each Unit has a place where you can learn more, earn extra credit and some fund things to do. Feel free to use the following quizzes as self-checks throughout the course Biology Self Checks in English, Biology Self Checks in Spanish Explore the rest of the site to see the amazing things that Biology has in store for you. Earn up to 4 points extra credit on the 1st day of school. Go to the "Self Checks" in textbox above. In Chapter 1: Exploring and Classifying Life, do self-check quiz 1-4. For each self-check quiz that you score 100%, print the score and turn in on the 1st day of school you will receive 1 point.
Earn
up to 6 points extra credit on the 2nd day of school. Go to the "Self Checks" above. Click on "Chapter Review Quizzes on the left hand corner. In Unit 1: Life's Structure and Function, do the quizzes for chapters 1-6. For each self-check quiz that you score 100%, print the score and turn in on the 1st day of school you will receive 1/2 point (gifted)/1 point (general).
To earn Extra Credit take the linked quizzes below during the appropriate time frame. Score 100% on the quiz. Print the page with your score of 100%, write your name on it, and turn it in at the start of class during the time period when it is due. To print screen (if you have trouble printing a score box), press "Print Screen" on the upper right hand of your keyboard, then paste that into a Word document and print. Please do not mail quizzes to me.
